BJ
He is part of a large puppymill seizure. He does not know his name because they
didn't have names until they came into rescue, only USDA numbers. He is crate
trained and a little creature of routine. A fenced in yard is mandatory because
he is terrified of a leash.

SHIRLEY
is a puppymill sheltie girl that I believe came from the Thorp Dog Auction originally.
She is about 3 years old and a sable merle She is on the smaller side, never
been on a leash before and very afraid of everything that dogs should already
love. She is looking for an experienced, patient home with a secure fenced
in yard. |

TINKERBELL
(Tinker for short) is almost two years old. She is a very petite, very timid
girl who was surrendered by a nice family who made the costly mistake of
purchasing a dog who was in a kennel for a year instead of in a home.

LING
is about 15 pounds of sassiness. She is a five year old bi-black female and judging
by her personality, I think her full name should be "Ding-A-Ling".
She's a goofy girl and does a lot of the things that my girl Daisy does.
She herds me as I'm walking around. She loves to jump up on things (How else
do you see what's up there?) She seems to be housebroken and has some basic
manners,
but in her world, "It's all about Ling". |

FOXY
is a petite little sheltie mix. She is all of 12 pounds. See those ears? I think
Pappillon but we'll never know for sure. She's 3 years old and just the sweetest
little lap dog. She wants to be by you ALL the time.

GEORGE
came to WSR due to a bitter divorce. George
has seen the world already. He's originally from New Mexico, but
he moved with his lady to Cabo San Lucas when the divorce was pending.
She didn't know of a sheltie rescue in New Mexico so found us instead!

Note to potential adopters:
While most dogs who come into Wisconsin Sheltie Rescue are posted
on this page, a few go right to success. The dogs who went
directly
to success
went home to pre-approved adopters.
You can become a pre-approved adopter by completing an adoption
application, even if you don't see a
dog on this page you like (yet!) -- this will give you the opportunity
to express your preferences for the
kind
of
dog
who will fit into your life and family. (please note - all adopters
are required to complete an application)
Our mission is to find the best home for the dogs in our program,
in order for them to make a smooth transition to Leading the Sheltied
Life in their forever home. Having an approved application on file
is the best way for you to know of all the dogs in the WSR program,
as well as for us to know of the greatest opportunities for the dogs
in our care. |
