Success Stories

PATTY was surrendered by the family of a man who went to a nursing home and I got Patty started on her weight loss journey. She now lives in a quiet, yet active home and gets to go to the dog park all the time with her WSR sheltie sister Chibi. I can’t wait to see half of Patty at the 2012 reunion!

SASHA is the big eared mixed girl that we got from a humane society. She now has a wonderful home with a former grooming client of mine who likes sheltie mixes. She teaches piano lessons to kids, so Sasha will have lots of visitors and I’m sure she’ll be ‘announcing’ each one.

ARCHER came home from the 2011 sheltie nationals in St. Louis with us and has been here since April waiting for the right home. I’m so happy that he has a home with a big fenced in yard and two collie sisters to romp around with. I can’t wait to see him again at the reunions!

DIVA Diva has been fostered for a while with WSR adoptee Tucker. They wanted to make sure that Tucker would be happy with a companion. Diva passed the trial period and now has a terrific home where she’s the queen again.

LILY has a new home with two sheltie boy siblings to play with. She really became attached to me while she was here, and now she has her own home and her own mom.

GRACIE - After having her three months and doing all the hard stuff (housebreaking, fear training, obedience training), I have decided to keep Gracie. Robin loves her, Rocky loves her and Baxter hates her antics so majority rules. I swore I'd never have another girl after Daisy and after seeing some of the diva things that Gracie does, she is truly Daisy Incarnate so I'm in for a long 15 years I think. At this point, the only thing worse than keeping her myself is placing her in a home where she will get away. If I knew she was lost out in this cold Wisconsin winter, I'm not sure I could function.
