Success Home

TAYTE: This is the newest addition to the Goin family. He's still gots lots of puppy in him! He's only two so we have a nice long time left with him. He loves everyone here. Oh wait, he hasn't met Kenny yet. hehe Oops, I'd better watch myself or I'll be on the streets with my 3 dogs, cat, and 3 hamsters. :o)
I'll try and snap a few more shots, although he isn't the "poser" that the Timminator is. I'll have him whipped into shape for the Reunion 2002 calendar, Lisa! :) --Dede

EVEE is going to her new home in Green Bay with a nice single woman who has a huge fenced in yard where Evee can run and play in safety. I'm going to miss her bumping into things...(she's almost totally deaf...)

ROBBIE the collie was placed through Collie Rescue. (WSR sponsors one collie at a time on the website, to help Collie Rescue!)
REGIS: What secret is Molly telling Regis?!!!
BUDDY: Moved to Egg Harbor to live in a studio in Door County that will open next summer and sell really cool birdbaths. He's the new studio "buddy".

ANDRE: Has moved to a "suburb" just outside Madison.
SPARKY: Moved to Sheboygan.
DAKOTA was picked out by a couple that has a Belgian sheepdog named Kiera and now they will have two herding dogs. He's getting neutered on Monday and will go to his new home next weekend...
SKOSHIE - was originally adopted to a couple who INSISTED on a younger dog,
but then didn't want to deal with the bad habits (chewing) that come with younger dogs, so they returned him. He now lives with two nice patient women, a lab mix, a Dalmatian and two other shelties where he is making his way to the top of the pack.
BANDIT: This adorable five year old male was surrendered because his owner remarried and the new wife is allergic and with child....he was adopted by a wonderful husband and wife who live near Madison. Outside his new house is a long paved walking path and a gorgeous park. Inside, he has a big black cat for a roommate.

NALA went home on Friday to Manitowoc to live with the cutest sheltie on the planet named Lance.
HONEY, CASEY, and HUNTER: These three weren't advertised on the website because Lisa always has homes waiting for puppies and young dogs. That's the advantage of having an approved application on file. These people were very excited to get the call for these three babies. They were immediately adopted.
HONEY was picked out by a Sheboygan couple who have a collie and an elderly sheltie.
BUFFY AND HER PUPPIES: Buffy was a "sheltie" (ahem) whose time had run out at MADACC. What would YOU do if you saw her, pregnant with pups and on death row, knowing she's not a sheltie but also knowing if you don't take her, she'll be put to sleep? Lisa took her.
HUNTER the puppy went home on Saturday morning to live with another WSR
sheltie named Hannah (the Codemeister's daughter).
CASEY the puppy went home on Saturday morning to live with a sheltie named
Laddie who's very well behaved and will teach Casey the ways of the world.
PYLOT went to a home with a nice lady and their two daughters and a husband that is.... you guessed it.. a PILOT...... He lives with another sheltie named Sparky that could be his twin brother.

JAKE: was adopted last weekend to a great home in Fond Du Lac who recently lost their sheltie to kidney disease. He sleeps on the bed and goes for lots of walks.
MICKEY: Mickey is a four year old sable and white who was adopted by the woman who fostered him for a
weekend.
BUDDY: Buddy went home this weekend to a great couple in Beloit. A special thank you goes to Chris and Denise Brandt for fostering Buddy the entire time he was in rescue. At right, Buddy gets a bath! :)
PENNY: Penny went home to Plymouth, WI to live with Roundup, Rascal and Axel, other WSR shelties.

TAZ: Taz went home (again) today to a nice man in the Portage area.
AUSTIN: Austin is a 10 month old puppy that is a puppy through and through: very obnoxious, doesn't listen and jumps up on everything. He is a prime candidate for an obedience class. He's crate trained and was surrendered because another "dog" (a wolf hybrid) that the people had kept picking on him. His fur is chewed on in spots from this other animal. He was purchased from a pet store in Wonewoc, WI. Austin went to a home in Clintonville.
ROCKY: was a stray that WSR was notified about back in October; his owners were found. They decided to surrender him. Now he lives with two sheltie sisters, Kylie and Confetti.
KELLY the cat-hater who was with me at the bakery went to a nice elderly couple that had a collie that died in June at the age of 15!! Their veterinarian helped them find a "mini-collie". (I can't believe I said that) Unfortunately, Kelly's delivery was delayed because her stomach was so upset from the long drive and the endless treats, that she ended up with bloody diarrhea and had to see a vet first...
ELLIE: is a 5 month old sheltie mix (and we use that term "mix" VERY loosely...) that was surrendered to a shelter because her family didn't realize the work that went into raisinga happy puppy.
Lisa met Ellie's new family in Neillsville (1/2 way from MN) Thanks to Julie Schlak for doing the home check. Ellie will live with a nice family and a sheltie named Sheba.

ANNIE (Formerly BRANDI): This sable and white 8 year old went to her forever home in the country, where she's spoiled and gets to go up north on weekends in the summer. She was surrendered by a farm family who was mowing the lawn one day as she was tossed out a car going by. They kept her for about 5 months hoping that someone would be missing her, but had no luck tracking down the owners.
KATIE: Katie went to her forever home where she lives with her new sheltie brother Marlin, who's teaching her some manners. She was released to WSR by a woman who decided that shelties aren't the breed for her because she "couldn't get the dog to quit jumping up at her and following her around".
