2006 Success Stories -Part 3
Updated 12/31/2006

SASHA
is a little peanut of a sheltie that was rescued by a good Samaritan and then surrendered to rescue due to impending vet bills. Sasha could not believe her good fortune (neither could I!) when she was adopted by a veterinarian!!
  KELLI
is a 13 year old bi black girl that came in due to her owner being moved to an assisted living facility. She makes her new home with a veterinarian who loves the seniors as much as I do.
  JOHNNY
Well, it's official. Johnny was adopted to his new home with three other shelties to play with just in time for New Year's Eve. They didn't think they were having a New Year's party, but with Johnnie in the house, every day 's a party.
  SAM
found a great home. I'm not sure if they're going to keep his name though. It's not that they don't like it. They like it alot, but since his new mom is also named "Sam", they think it might be a little confusing!! Something tells me that we'll be seeing Sam riding in a Harley sidecar come spring.....
   TAHEA
makes her home with a very nice lady who recently lost her rescued sheltie to old age. Tahea went him with a few tennis balls to get her comfortable and she's happy to be the queen of her domain again.

COSMO
has a new job! He's the Water Fowl Assistant Manager of a golf course in IL. He'll spend his summers riding around on a golf cart with his mom and his sheltie brother keeping the geese off the golf course. What a great job for him!!
  SCOUT (now Mac)
is adapting to his new home with his WSR sheltie sister Roo. He's still getting used to the normal household sounds, but between his owner, Roo and the cats, they'll be fine.
  MAX (now Shadow)
has a great home with a shepherd husky mix who was very happy to have a little canine friend in the house again.
  DILLON
was returned to WSR after a young family could not handle his activity level. He now finds a permanent home where they previously had WSR seniors, so they are happy to have some life in the house again.

GEORGIE
is the first of the IL boys to get to his new home. He has a well behaved role model sheltie named Coal to show him the way and a beautiful log home to live in. During the summers, he'll spend his time cruising the Mississippi river in the couple's houseboat.
  RILEY
makes her home where she is once again the little Princess. Instead of chasing Harleys in the summertime, she might just be riding one!
  TEDDY
makes his home with the relative of Prince's family. The family has had shelties before and now have had cats since they've been married. Teddy has a nice yard and gets lots of exercise playing with his new feline friends.
  PRINCE
has a great home with a young couple just about ready to get married. They're living with a pug and a teeny tiny Jack Russell Terrier and I'm sure Prince is having a blast!

DUNCAN
came into rescue with the Illinois Four, he makes his home with Jake and another WSR sheltie
  JAKE
was surrendered by a family who got him for free on the internet and then decided they didn’t want him after all. He lives with another WSR sheltie and little Duncan the puppy boy.
  NICK
came into rescue with the Illinois Four, and is leading the sheltied life with another WSR adopted sheltie.
  TAYLOR
(we later found out that her name was Sherri), was adopted by a lovely couple who hadn't had a sheltie in a little while and lived in a nice complex where several others had dogs and they have a great field to walk the dogs. Sherri has her very own balcony to sun herself on during the upcoming nice fall days.
