2008 Success Stories -Part 1

DIAMOND
went to visit with Betsy while I was at the nationals and I haven't seen him since. Another foster home failure. She couldn't resist those big brown eyes.
  SNOWY
is doing what shelties were meant to do! He has other sheltie playmates and even a few sheep and goats to herd around the yard. At 11, he's keeping up with his younger siblings just fine.
  SAMMIE
the mix got lucky with being put up on the website just as her new owner was surfing the web for a family member. It was love at first site and Sammie will be very loved and spoiled in her new home.
  TUCKER
has a great home with a collie in the house. He's currently at the lady's daughters house for a little exercise and settling in before he goes to live permanently with his new collie friend.
  ECHO
is the little 11 year old tri girl that came in from the reputable breeder who passed away and left four dogs to WSR. She will be seen across Wisconsin at agility and obedience trials as the cheerleader for a sheltie named Munchkin and a smooth collie named Dexter.

MURRAY
had a rough start in life being bounced around a lot and now he's finally settled in. He started in MN, left for WI and headed back to MN for his forever home with a great couple who haven't had a puppy in a long time and forgot what it was like to have that kind of energy in the house!
  BLACKJACK
makes his home with a great family. The teenage son admitted to me that he was really a 'cat person', but we'll see if Blackjack can change his mind!
  DIAMOND
is a Pomeranian mix that was purchased by an ignorant young person who claimed to have paid $800 for her and was planning on using her for breeding. For whatever reason, she got rid of Diamond to someone who had connections with WSR and that person soon realized that such a little thing didn't make the best match for her big dog at home.

  CALLIE
is the adorable sheltie mix that came in after being adopted out once already by an area humane society who doesn't screen adopters. She looks like a smooth sheltie and was the perfect match for a couple who likes the energy of a sheltie, but isn't too fond of the hair that most of us adore :)
   COLIN
lives with WSR sheltie Decker from early this summer in MI. If I had a dollar for everyone who wanted this little 8 pound guy, WSR would be sitting pretty good. Colin will get to do some traveling and is working on mastering the doggie door that leads to his fenced in back yard.

COSMO (previously Billy)
has his very own golden retriever to play with and two human girls to snuggle and play with. He's going to be learning underground fence in the spring, but for now, he's already signed up for desperately needed obedience classes.
  DAISY MAE
headed off to MN. The cool part is that she's reunited with her sheltie friend Troy who went there last month. Now Troy and Daisy get to patrol the varmint-filled backyard together!
  ELLIE
came in a product of a home that was alot busier than she wanted. She now lives in a quieter home, with a few other shelties to play with, but minus the toddlers.
  MAGGIE
has a terrific home with some animal loving sisters. You know that you're in the home of animal lovers when the toilet paper has pawprints on it! (You can get it at Woodman's - I asked!) Maggie is happy in her retirement home with two nice ladies who are also living the retired life.
  CALVIN
lives with a groomer so he's always going to be pretty! He has his very own little girl to play with as well as a senior golden retriever. Calvin's dad fixes up sports cars so watch for Calvin to be traveling in style in a Jag or a Corvette :)

JACK
is the Petland puppy that came in after the family bought him back in July. He now has a great home with another sheltie to play with where he's going to learn some obedience training.
  BONNIE
is finally with a rescue that has the knowledge to work with her issues and try to place her in a BC appropriate home.
  JORDAN
has a terrific home pretty close with a great man whom I've 'known' for several years, but just met on the day he came to meet Jordan. He recently lost his sheltie buddy Rambo and couldn't wait long before filling the furry void in his life. Jordan has it made with fresh ice water every day, heated beds throughout the house and a nice fenced in yard to explore.
  TIMBER (now Tanner)
has a terrific home with a nice couple who have been sheltie-free for a while. They met Tanner on their second visit here and it was a match made in heaven.
   TROY
makes his home with a great woman who's going to give him all the attention that he wants and deserves. He's having a blast finding all of his new toys and beds and has a fenced in yard that any other sheltie would envy.
