2004 Success Stories -Part 2
Updated 11/14/2004
LOUIE
makes his home with a great couple who live close-by. They recently lost their senior sheltie and it was very difficult. It took some convincing on the wife's part to get another dog, but the husband couldn't resist Louie's major sucking up abilities. She will be Louie's dieting partner and he will be Louie's fishing buddy.
SASSY
is a 7 year old girl who, at the time of posting to the web, may or may not be expecting puppies. STAY TUNED! She does have a great home lined up. It's just a matter of time before she gets there, and her new family took her on a Labor Day camping field trip.
MERCURY
makes his home with a nice family and their 12 year old sheltie (going on 8!). His new mom is a personal friend of mine who's had shelties all her life and Mercury is getting used to being in his own home again.
DAISY
is a sable girl that was surrendered due to a child having allergies. They had just got her for free from some family friends two weeks ago. I Daisy is finally in her last home. She's a cute larger girl with a crappy haircut because the people thought it would help with the allergies ;)
JORDI
makes his home with a nice family who've been waiting a while (due to family vacations and family illnesses) and they have a soft spot for the seniors.

ELLIOT
makes his home with a nice couple who recently moved here from New York. We've been corresponding for a few months and once they were settled, they came to visit and fell in love with the new guy at the time. Elliot is about a year old and came to me from an area pound. He was surrendered there because he chewed their linoleum.....naughty Elliot.....

GRACIE
Finally, someone got sick of seeing her picture on the website, and took her home. She lives with a whole group of shelties and miscellaneous breeds, so she should feel right at home!

RUBY
found a home with a great man who hasn't had a dog of his own for a long time, but babysits for friends and families dogs all the time. He fell in love with a sheltie that he was recently taking care of and decided that he would like one of his own. His daughters put him in touch with me and Ruby won his heart.

SNOOPY
found a home with a nice lady and her fiance' way out in the boonies! He's got lots of room to explore and shares his new house with a friendly kitty.

MERLIN
makes his new home with a nice retired couple. He will be spending alot of time with his new collie girlfriend playing with his bubble blower and traveling the countryside in a huge RV motorhome!

SIMON
went home to a great family with a 15 year old sheltie and little ferret. They were very flexible in what they were looking for: M/F, any age, as long as the new dog was a Sable. Note Simon's awesome bi-black disguise! The little guy did the best job sucking up that day and he walked away with the new home!!

EBONY
a "supersized" Sheltie, found a home through Collie Rescue.

INDY
came from a shelter up north and was quickly adopted by the couple whose original plan was to transport her to rescue. They already have two adopted WSR dogs and Indy makes three!

TYSON
makes his home with fellow WSR shelties Katy and Bailey. Bailey isn't much of a 'player', so Tyson is Katy's new boytoy. :)

NOAH
was purchased from a puppymill by a nice girl who never had a sheltie before. She had a terrier and soon Noah took on a few of the bad qualities of the terrier! He's being "Terrier Deprogrammed" in his new home :-)

REX
has some big shoes to fill. He has moved in with Ahni's family. Ahni is smilling down from the rainbow bridge, her passing left a gap in hearts big enough for Rex to come in.

WALDO
makes his home with a nice couple who had a sheltie that died at 17 years of ago. Little Waldo won their hearts right from the beginning and I hear that he's making himself right at home.

LEAH
the 14 year old little girl took an airplane ride to Denver, CO to her new home. Her new mommy loves the seniors and Leah's picture caught her eye on the website. I met her when she flew into Milwaukee to pick her up, spent the afternoon and Leah was off to be a Bronco's fan
.

PIXIE
finally went to her new home tonight with fellow WSR sheltie Ernie. It took awhile to prep Pixie's new home (FENCE!), but thanks to a couple of folks who adore shelties (Dan and Michele), she's home tonight!

BEAU
makes his home with a nice man who had a sheltie some time ago and decided he would like to have one again. Beau has the house all to himself now and a huge fenced in yard to romp around in. He's a mix by breeding, and pure Sheltie at heart!
