2006 Success Stories -Part 2
Updated 9/11/2006

JESSE
(now renamed Joey) is going to a home with a standard sized sheltie (better known as a collie) and a new collie puppy coming later this fall. Jesse will be a great role model for the new puppy as well as a great brother for the calm collie they already have.
  SCOUT
has a new doggie girlfriend named Holly and couldn’t be happier. He has a beautiful fenced in yard with a patient couple who’s going to show him lots of cool things about being a real dog
  COREY
is busy filling a void in a very nice man’s life after losing his sheltie. He found WSR because Buddy’s mom and dad live in the same town and recently were in the newspaper with Buddy talking about rescue. Thanks for spreading the word!!
  LADY
has decided that she would like a permanent place on my bed. I hardly even know that she’s here and what’s one more right?
  KAYLA
is going to have a great time at her new home. There is a schoolyard nearby and she’ll have a lot of new friends waiting to meet her.

GENIE
makes her home with another WSR sheltie named Patches. They have a nice big yard to romp around in and both her new owner and I are hoping that Patches will help Genie stick to her diet!
  SCOOBY
is a calm 7 year old that came into rescue because of a child's allergies. He makes his home with a very nice man who is going to spoil him rotten, but PROMISED not to let him get fat!!! Scooby will get trips up north and lots of play time with his neighbor golden retriever named Daisy.
  DILLON
imakes his home in St. Francis, MN. He has an 8-month-old human playmate but is happy to be the only furbaby. His new owners are thrilled to have him....so thrilled that Dillon even has his own room!
    BENNETT
formerly named Skipper, makes his home with a great couple and their senior collie-mix. He's got a great fenced in yard (complete with a pool) and two cats to chase around once he gets comfortable. Bennett is quickly learning how nice it is to be a PET dog instead of a PUPPYMILL dog.
  SADIE
got the best possible home that she could given her medical issues. She came in with horrible ear infections due to neglect and is now living with a veterinarian who specializes in ear infections and skin problems!!! If that’s not enough, she already has two other rescued shelties, one from WSR and one from MNSR.

SADIE
has some big shoes to fill in her new home. They recently lost both BJ and Frisco (WSR shelties) to old age within three months of each other, the last being only two weeks ago. Their house was quiet, but not anymore. The party girl has arrived to liven things up a bit.
  ANGEL
goes home with a terrific family that already has 3 WSR shelties, including Sophie, who will help Angel with her sign language lessons. Angel's new human siblings patiently waited two weeks for her to come home - Angel, it is worth the wait!
p.s. to new family - Angel likes to play with painted toenails...
  MAGGIE (formerly Suzie)
got a new home with a great backyard and three cats to play with. She lives with three teenagers who will no doubt have her loving their swimming pool in no time.
  SAM (formerly Scham)
went to his new home today and will be the first dog for a very nice girl who's been waiting for and researching to find the perfect friend for a long time. Sam also has two other human roommates as well as a kitty to chase around.
  ABEL
makes his home with a great couple and their other sheltie Kelly. They recently lost a senior sheltie and Kelly was a little lonesome. Abel will live with a groomer so he'll always look pretty!!

      ANNIE
NOT
PICTURED

KODY
is now renamed Kasey for a VERY good reason. He went to a home with another WSR sheltie.... named CODY!!! He has a great new little furry friend and despite becoming very attached to me while he was waiting for a home, he's adjusting wonderfully and already playing with his new sheltie brother..

  HONEY
born in rescue 7 yrs ago, subsequently returned to rescue; moves to MN to join her dad Dakota, and her new sister Belle for fun, fishing and fetching.
  RIDER (formerly Cody)
makes his home with a great family who recently lost their WSR sheltie Timmy. Rider has a WSR sister Indy and is looking forward to the quiet life again
  ANNIE & TUCKER
This little fatty (Tucker) came into rescue because the woman couldn't take care of him anymore. He and Annie, another newcomer to WSR, who was surrendered for being naughty to the neighbor kids, both went home from the reunion with Misty and Sadie's family. They've restocked their sheltie inventory and are back up to four again after losing Mason and Peanut earlier this year.
