DAISY
Formerly named "Crazy" and
changed for obvious reasons, came into rescue at 7 years old because
of a growing family and a barking problem. She now has a great home
with two nice ladies who reportedly spoil their dogs rotten, so this
is exactly what Daisy has been looking for. |
|
NOVA
has a great him with a big old goofy lab mix. This is their first deaf dog so
they still forget sometimes that she doesn't 'listen' very well, but she's
such a joy to have around. Nova has a great home up north and I think we'll
be hearing alot about her adventures in upcoming newsletters. |
|
REESE
lives in a home where he has alot to live up to! They're all agility dogs and
Reese will soon be too. He's got some personality quirks that will make it
a challenge, but since his sister Lexi just got the highest title in Agility
that you can have (a MACH), I'm sure he's in the right home. Watch for him
at the 2010 ASSA Nationals in Missouri! |
|
SWEET PEA
is back in a home after being returned housebreaking moments. The new home does
not let her out of sight in the house for even a minute and so far, so good. |

CHINO
was surrendered by a woman who took him when her son was going through
a divorce. After a brief detour in rescue and neutering, Chino makes
his home where a previous WSR sheltie boy lived. This family adopted
10 years ago and lost Jingles to old age and now have a new young
boy to keep them company. |
|
BELLA
has some pretty big princess slippers to fill. WSR Confetti passed away earlier
this week and they don't want to be without a girlie sheltie in the house for
any longer than necessary so they came to meet Bella and she did some major
sucking up. She's going to have a great home, with lots of walks and happy
to be the only child again. |
|
SPARKY
This guy came into rescue from a clueless family who purchased him at a petstore,
did no vetting or socialization whatsoever and then surrendered him because
he was too much to handle with their children. (They're in for a shocker when
they find out how much work kids are if they can't handle a dog.) Now neutered,
Sparky has a wonderful experienced sheltie home with another WSR sheltie named
Indy to teach him some manners |
|
PARIS & LUCY
get to go their new homes together! A great lady called and asked if I had two
dogs that had to go together. What are the odds?? I love those phone calls!
They have a great home and are now eating dog food instead of cat food and
getting lots of activity. |

GHANDI
came in from a
very good home who took excellent care of him, but couldn't keep
him due to health reasons. He now makes his home in a similar situation
with someone who's been patiently waiting
a long time after her previous WSR sheltie passed away. He'll get
lots of loving with a big fenced yard to explore, and no other
dogs to steal his attention. |
|
BENTLEY
has a terrific home and a new name! JJ Bentley is living in a condo
where he is king of the place. they thought they had a tiny sheltie
before with WSR Waldo, but once they got JJ, they realized Waldo
was really probably medium sized. |
|
ZOEY
has been in a great foster home since March and her foster mom has
decided that since Zoey is doing so great on her weight loss and
settled in, she['s going to adopt her under the senior program. |
|
BLUE
is an adorable two year old boy who was surrendered due to a new baby in the
house. They also had a 7 year old sheltie, but she’s pretty well mannered
and easy so they weren’t ready to handle a new baby and a young sheltie
boy who needs a lot of activity. So, now he’s in a home with three other
sheltie boys who will give him all the activity he wants and more! |
|
DUDE
makes his home with a great group of WSR dogs (and others) including three other
double merle white boys. He's learning some manners and quickly found out that
Chihuahuas are bigger than they look. |

SASSY
has a terrific home near me with an experienced sheltie owner. Her golden retriever
cousins give her a run for her money when it comes to fetching. Sassy might
not be as quick, but once she gets the ball, she's not letting go. |
|
SID
has a sheltie brother Cyril and they'll both be spending summers at varous campgrounds
around Wisconsin. Last I heard Sid was getting chased around by the household
cats! |
|
JINX (was Juno)
has a nice active life now where she'll get a lot of attention. She'll have to
compete in the house with Indy for "Queen" so stay tuned in upcoming
newsletters as to who is winning. Little Zoey the Schnoodle will be the judge. |
|
CIESTA
makes her home with a big Doberman mix who is still getting used to having a
busy little companion in the house. Ciesta's mom is a big fan of adoption and
senior dogs and is realizing that it's a challenge keeping up with a 12 year
old dog who thinks she's only 2 years old! |
|
HEIDI
It took a while, but I finally found a family with an energy level that matches
Heidi's! They're all set up with interactive toys and activities to keep Heidi
busy in her new home. It doesn't hurt that they have a nice big fenced in yard,
making it easier for Heidi to exercise and keep her girlish figure. |
