HOLLY
- (left) This little active girl now has two boys of her very own
to play with, and no other dogs to irritate and instigate trouble
with. She'll have to take all the blame for her antics herself! She
was adopted to a family in Green Bay. |
TAYLOR - Tay
Tay goes home! I knew it would take a very special family to adopt
her, and she always watched expectantly whenever a car would pull
up and new people would get out. Would they be her new parents?
But she was passed by, always. Finally, one day a really nice
woman with a very patient husband drove up, and the nice woman
spent an hour with Tay Tay, feeding her venison and cheese bits
and talking very softly to her. Taylor decided she liked these
people, and thus she has moved to Milwaukee, where she shares
a home with an amorous cocker spaniel. Hope he doesn't like pizza
crusts as much as Taylor does! :) No matter how many shelties
walk through Lisa's door, Taylor will always have a special place
in my heart.

HAD to have him as another member of her Sheltie Retirement Village.
Thanks, Linda

playful . Sasha goes to a holistic vet who keeps her healthy. Cherry
and Barb are glad to have her in the family. The cats will not decide
for several years if she should stay. :)
|
|
TAZZ
- This boy went to his new home in Missouri with a single woman
whose sheltie recently passed away. He is now the love of her life
and very, very spoiled.
|
|
OZZIE
(Woz) - This boy is now Squeaker's full time brother in Kansas and
his new family is working hard on taming his HUGE instinct to herd
flying objects.
|
|
SHASTA
- This little girl finally found a home in Waunakee with a nice
couple who have dealt with a sheltie with behavior/chasing vehicles
problems before. She is proving to be both a challenge and a great
source of entertainment to them and they can't wait until she outgrows
her wildness and settles down.
|
|
HONEY
- (previously Sable) This little sheltie girl went to her new home
in Appleton with a nice family and their two children. She had some
trouble pottying on a leash after being used to roaming free in
a fenced-in area, but she's adapted well.
|
|
 |
|
CODY&COCO
(no pic)- went to a home in Brown Deer WI where they have to learn
how to use a doggie door to get out into their yard. It's nice that
these two boys who came in together could find a permanent home
together.
|
|
|
|
ZOE
(no pic)- This little sable pistol will definitely give her new
family some exercise. She now lives in Sheboygan with a nice family
and a couple of cats for her to herd around.
|
|
|
|
SQUEAKER
(previously Sheila): This adorable little stray girl went to a nice
family in Olathe, Kansas, where she will live with three other shelties
including Ozzie (Woz), whom they've also adopted. (Special note
to the new family from the webmaster: isn't the Wozman great?!!!)
|
|
DAKOTA#2
(no pic) - went to a home in Sheboygan where a very nice teenage
boy and his mom are going to spoil him rotten. Dakota is going to
be Evan's constant companion and I'm looking forward to seeing him
after his coat grows out.
|
|
SAMMY
- went to his home with a nice single lady in Bloomington MN and
has foster brothers and sisters all the time from the local humane
society. Sammy's excited to teach them the ropes of what a GOOD
dog is like!
|
|
LLOYD (no
pic) - This bi-blue puppy was adopted by a family in Plymouth
who had recently lost their sheltie (Abby) to old age. He lives
with two cats and two teenage daughters that teach him stuff.
GIRL BI-BLUE PUPPY (no pic) - The last puppy of the puppymill
closing was adopted by a nice couple in Delafield who had just
lost their own sheltie, but inherited another and wanted a playmate
for him.
|
|
DAKOTA
- This 6 year old stud dog from the puppymill closing has moved
in with Bandit's family in Minnesota. He is a gorgeous bi-blue with
a huge white fluffy collar. Dakota will also be learning HTML since
his new mom is a Macintosh fanatic (just like the webmaster!). READ
THE STORY of his flight and introduction to his new home
here!

due to health problems and now makes his home in Appleton with a
wonderful woman who had owned a sheltie for years.
|
|
|
|
 |
|
ROBBIE
- "And another foster home bites the dust" as we joke
in rescue. Robbie was being fostered in New London with Ginny and
Tramp. (Tramp is another sheltie Ginny adopted from WSR.) When another
family inquired about possibly adopting Robbie, his foster mom easily
made the decision to keep him permanently. So Robbie will now be
a permanent member of this household. This seems to be the standard
among foster homes - it's too hard to give up the little peanuts
when someone else wants them too!
|
|
|
|
|
|
PRINCESS
- This little girl went to a home in Delevan where she will have
lots of room to play and lots of goats to herd. She is looking for
a foster sister or brother to join her family soon. Princess is
a gorgeous flashy blue merle who just turned three in January. She
is the third breeding female taken from the puppymill. She is average
sized. She and her 5 puppies moved to WSR's homebase from her foster
care home with Becky in Green Bay (Thanks Becky!). She is 1/2 sister
to Phoebe, who was adopted in April.
