Please be leery of mixed breed rescues or shelters that have shelties in their program and will not work with the rescues that are experts on their specific breeds. With over 600 adoptions of shelties, WSR findspermanent homes for shelties based on experience, not marketability.
When adopting a sheltie from WSR, you can be confident that you will have the support and education needed to succeed in giving this special breed a forever home. Many shelties that come into our program were originally adopted from shelters or all-breed rescues.
